About the Role

As a key member of our operations team, we are seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to support our growing logistics activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating day-to-day coordination of international and domestic shipments, documentation, compliance, and communications across the global supply chain.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily international and domestic freight forwarding activities (air, sea, and road), ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
  • Assist with preparing shipping documentation, customs declarations, and cargo tracking reports, maintaining accuracy and adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with carriers, customs brokers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure accurate and timely communication, resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Support the Logistics Manager in planning and scheduling deliveries, pickups, and project milestones, optimizing logistics processes and improving efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, transport costs, and relevant paperwork, providing valuable insights for business decisions.
  • Help monitor and report on key logistics KPIs, such as delivery performance and cost metrics, enabling data-driven decision making.
  • Follow up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transport operations, addressing any concerns or queries promptly.
  • Assist in warehouse coordination, inspections, and compliance processes, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, identifying opportunities to streamline processes and implement best practices.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics coordination, or a similar support role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • A good understanding of international transport (INCOTERMS) and customs processes, including shipping documentation and regulations.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software systems, such as CargoWise, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • A team player mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
