
First Nations Community Liaison Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated First Nations person to fill a critical role within our Crime Prevention and Engagement Unit.
About the Role- This is an Identified position that requires a First Nations person as permitted by the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act.
- You will develop and maintain relationships with community leaders to ensure their input in crime prevention issues.
- Promote partnerships with community service organisations and advise on positive contributions to these partnerships.
- Enhance awareness of cultural, policing, and community needs among police officers and community members.
- Develop and implement effective strategies to address crime prevention concerns from the First Nations community.
- Conduct workplace assessments for subordinate staff and contribute to Cultural Capability training.
- A C-class driver's license or ability to acquire one.
- Participation in a written exercise during the interview process.
- Adherence to the QPS Code of Dress and Appearance.
- Working to a set roster and potentially weekend shifts to attend local festivals and forums.
