Job Description

The Chief Configuration Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of innovative projects that enhance aviation safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide configuration management (CM) services, document control, and data management for projects.
  • Ensure CM processes align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate the management of engineering data, documentation, and technical media.
  • Support the conduct of Engineering Review Boards and Change Control Boards, and manage outcomes.
  • Register, track, and report on the progress of approved configuration changes in work products.
  • Participate in physical configuration audits, and associated reviews.
  • Create and maintain system and product breakdown structures for projects, in consultation with engineering stakeholders.
  • Prepare and issue Configuration Status Account Reports (CSARs) in accordance with CM plans and procedures.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project-based team or product engineering management environments, preferably in defence or air traffic management industries.
  • Industry-recognised configuration and data management training or equivalent professional experience.
  • Exposure to specialist configuration management tools and/or engineering data management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
