About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Dams Engineer to join our dynamic team at GHD, based in Sydney. This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your career while working with a highly capable and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of dams projects, including water dams and tailings dams, for various uses such as municipal, mining, agriculture, and hydropower.
  • Provide technical expertise in geotechnical, structural, and design management skills, with a focus on dams and tailings projects.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop proposals, reports, and technical analysis, and actively participate in business development and client relationship management.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, and provide opportunities for professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in dams engineering.
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Civil) or higher qualifications.
  • Knowledge of design of a broad range of dam types, including embankment and concrete dams.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplined teams, including geologists, structural engineers, hydraulic engineers, hydro-mechanical and electro-mechanical engineers.
