About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor/Educator to join our team at Hope Community Services. As a Counsellor/Educator, you will provide assessment, counselling, case management, education, and support to individuals, families, and significant others dealing with the impact of alcohol and other drug use and mental health problems or mental illness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide screening/assessment, counselling, education, support, advocacy, case management, and referrals to meet client goals.
  • Work in a culturally secure and appropriate way, following the Strong Spirit, Strong Mind - Aboriginal Drug and Alcohol Framework For Western Australia 2011-2015.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and participate in quality audits.
  • Participate in community prevention activities, inter-agency, and service coordination meetings as requested.

  • Ability to work in a team and autonomously to meet funding deliverables.
  • Experience in case management and client record management.
