Delivery Driver Job Summary

Elka Imports is seeking a reliable and customer-focused delivery professional to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a company vehicle for the delivery of products to clients.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring all products are secure and properly organized.
  • Follow pre-planned delivery routes and efficiently manage time to complete deliveries on schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery and other relevant documentation.
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues to management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service during each delivery, handling customer concerns or inquiries as needed.
  • Adhere to all relevant road safety and traffic regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including occasional warehouse duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of local roads and surrounding areas.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safe driving practices and maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 25 kg) on a regular basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.
