The Role

The position of Transport Planner will work as part of a team which plans, books, monitors, and reports on transport routes and services; the role will also involve designated accounts with primary responsibility.

This includes planning shipments and routes to optimize resource utilization while meeting client Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring compliance with working time regulations and relevant road safety laws, and maintaining accurate milestone updates in line with SLA requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and book shipments with subcontractors, overseas offices, and staff to ensure adherence to schedules and SLAs.
  • Liaise with clients, operations, and field teams to ensure service levels are maintained.
Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in transport planning (3+ years), excellent written and verbal communication skills, and excellent IT skills, including Office 365 and Microsoft Office.

A degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Planning, or a related field would be an advantage, as well as certifications in transport planning, freight management, or logistics.
