About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to work alongside our Continuous Improvement Manager in our Manufacturing plant at Botany. As a key member of our team, you will work on a range of interesting projects across waste, safety, consumer complaints and process efficiency that all tie back into our Kellogg Work System (KWS) based on lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Process capability and data analysis across key critical areas such as consumer complaints, safety improvement, waste and efficiency
- Reviewing, analysing, making recommendations and executing improved process controls where needed
- Own the plant standards – including manufacturing standards, product manuals and standard operating procedures and any changes made to these
- Work with and interact with individuals and teams across the business from the manufacturing floor to senior management, understanding the role they play in the organisation
- Communicating project status to ensure relevant parties are involved, informed and in agreement with impact of change
Requirements
- Degree or diploma qualification in either Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality & Mechanical Engineering, or similar
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, but not essential
- Exposure to Six Sigma green or black belt would be advantageous
- Experience in successfully delivering projects in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects whilst ensuring delivery of goals and objectives
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- An analytical mind, where you can review data, make observations & recommendations
- Team player – working across all areas of the plant to influence change and make a positive impact
- A can do attitude to resolving issues or improvements required
