Clinical Documentation Expert
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Documentation Specialist to drive quality improvement in clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on clinical documentation best practices
- Develop and deliver education programs for clinicians to enhance continuous documentation quality
- Collaborate with clinical staff to improve documentation accuracy and consistency
- Review medical records to clarify diagnoses and procedures where documentation is inadequate or conflicting
- Identify and resolve documentation issues impacting DRG assignment
Requirements:
- Proven experience in acute care environments
- Formal qualifications as a Health Information Manager
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise across multiple specialties
- Experience with clinical information systems such as electronic Medical Records and 3M Codefinder
