About Acute Medical Unit
Northern Beaches Hospital is a state-of-the-art medical facility providing world-class services for patients. The hospital features 486 beds, a 50-bed Emergency Department, and 14 theatres including cardiac catheter labs.
Our Acute Medical Unit with cardiac telemetry and Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) offers an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ward 4C is a 36 bed ward consisting of 10 dedicated beds for MAU and 26 general medical beds.
The successful candidate will work within a supportive team of dedicated nurses and multidisciplinary professionals, providing quality evidence-based care. We are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of our community through innovative and dynamic practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
- Minimum 1 to 2 years in an acute hospital setting experience is essential
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer-focused
- Clinical expertise and commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous improvement
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high-functioning team
- Passion for delivering quality patient-centred care
