Job Description

Job Title: Test Lead - Software Quality Assurance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Lead to join our client's team on a 12-month contract. This pivotal role involves managing multiple, concurrent projects and leading a team of testing professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee and coordinate testing activities across multiple, high-impact projects, ensuring that each project meets its quality and performance objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of testing professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Ensure that team members are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and support they need to succeed.
  • Test Practices: Establish, refine, and enforce testing standards and best practices across all projects. Ensure that testing methodologies are aligned with industry standards and tailored to the specific needs of each project.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive test plans that outline testing strategies, scope, resources, and timelines. Design and review test cases to ensure coverage and effectiveness, and manage the execution of these test cases to identify defects and ensure product quality.
  • Timeline and Budget Management: Work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to define and adhere to project timelines and budgets. Provide accurate and timely reporting on testing progress, risks, and issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Extensive experience in a Test Lead role, with a track record of successfully managing complex testing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Experience with various testing tools and technologies is highly desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team to achieve excellent results.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
