About the Role

Catholic Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Workplace Educator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in delivering educational programs and initiatives to enhance employee knowledge, skills, and performance within residential aged care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and deliver the induction and onboarding program to newly hired employees, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles.
  • Develop and deliver education and training programs to all Residential Aged Care employees, meeting role expectations and ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Conduct an education and training needs analysis and develop a learning plan to address identified gaps, driving continuous improvement in employee performance.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including Regional Support Managers, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • A heart and passion for providing high-quality care to the elderly, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional education and training programs.
  • Completion of Adult Training Education - Cert IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or similar, with a strong understanding of adult learning principles.
  • AHPRA Registered preferred, with demonstrated experience in delivering education and training programs in a residential aged care setting.
  • Solid experience conducting Training Needs Analysis and converting to a learning plan, with a focus on driving employee performance and compliance.
  • Thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AN-ACC assessment processes, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
  • Clinical knowledge and understanding of the aging process, particularly age-related health issues, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a residential aged care setting.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent IT skills, including full Microsoft suite, with the ability to adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Ability to travel, with a current driver's license, and willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
