Job Title:
Data Monitoring SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled Data Monitoring Specialist to join our Water Management Team.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a technical professional to work on providing reliable hydrological, meteorological, and environmental data monitoring systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and presenting quality time series data to clients through various data monitoring projects including dam surveillance, natural streams, water conveyance and delivery systems, groundwater, renewable energy projects, environmental management and electrical transmission and delivery.
The ideal candidate will have experience in remote field installation, troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of data monitoring instrumentation and telemetry equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Select and install data monitoring instrumentation and telemetry equipment in various locations
- Install and configure remote field devices, ensuring reliable operation and data collection
- Conduct routine checks and maintenance on existing equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new data monitoring solutions
- Travel to different sites across the state to collect and install data
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A recognised tertiary qualification, diploma or certificate in civil, building, electrical, electronics/comms, environmental or computer science
- At least 2 years' experience in remote field installation, troubleshooting, calibration and maintenance of data monitoring instrumentation and telemetry equipment
- An Australian driver's licence holder (preferably manual)
- A Construction White Card
- Confidence in swimming
