Job Role Overview:

Audience and Participation is a new team focused on diversifying audiences, removing barriers to participation, and building a culture of inclusive practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop resources to meet community-related objectives.
  • Collaborate with Creative and Delivery teams to improve best practice community engagement across the festival.
  • Build relationships with external groups and maintain awareness in local communities.

This role requires a natural collaborator with a strong commitment to equity, access, and inclusion. You will inspire participation from Melbourne's diverse communities and work towards making the festival more accessible and inclusive.

The organization supports flexible working arrangements and a hybrid office/WFH model.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase audience participation and engagement. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

You will also be responsible for managing relationships with external groups and maintaining awareness in local communities. This will involve building relationships, communicating effectively, and ensuring that the organization's goals and objectives are aligned with those of its partners.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to contribute to the development of the organization's overall strategy and direction. This will involve working closely with senior leadership to identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
