Dementia Care Specialist

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled and empathetic individual to join our care team as a Dementia Support Assistant. Our dedicated professionals work closely together to provide exceptional support to residents living with dementia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, personalized care and support to residents living with dementia.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a safe and supportive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
  • Develop and implement engaging activities tailored to individual residents' interests and backgrounds.
  • Work closely with the clinical leadership team to ensure excellent care outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in aged care.
  • Proven ability to engage residents in meaningful activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
