Electrical Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join our team at our Port Kembla manufacturing facility.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a dynamic team that drives innovation and excellence in the industry.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical trade qualifications, including a NSW Electrical licence, and experience working with PLCs, drives and SCADA interfaces. They will also possess excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

About the Role
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day problems with electrical equipment, recommending robust solutions to ensure optimal performance
  • Provide assessment and follow-up of equipment issues impacting plant performance
  • Perform equipment inspections and detailed planning and condition monitoring and optimisation of equipment
  • Assess the priority of emergent work relative to planned work to ensure electrical trade resources are applied in the best interests of the business
  • Coach and mentor operators and tradespersons in equipment function and technology
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Electrical trade qualifications
  • Negotiations NSW Electrical licence
  • Commitment to your own safety, wellbeing, and care for others
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment and the ability to utilise electrical schematics to establish root cause
  • Experience working both independently and as part of a manufacturing team
  • Fault finding and problem solving ability in a cross-discipline team environment
  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
