The Opportunity
Painted Product Quality Expert RoleWe are seeking a skilled Painted Product Quality Expert to join our team based in Port Kembla. As part of our broader Australian Steel Products portfolio, we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla, delivering various products, solutions, and services to our export and domestic customers.
With a focus on improving painted product quality and performance, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive product excellence and capability. You will leverage existing knowledge to promote continuous improvement and ensure product standards are met.
Main Responsibilities:
- SUPPORT THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF PROCESS IMPROVEMENTS TO ENSURE PAINTED PRODUCT QUALITY.
- PROVIDE TECHNICAL SUPPORT ON PAINT LINES WHILE STRIVING FOR BUSINESS IMPROVEMENTS AND MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE.
- ANALYSE DATA TO IDENTIFY OPPORTUNITIES TO ENHANCE THE PERFORMANCE OF OUR PAINTED PRODUCTS.
- WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITHIN OUR MANUFACTURING PLANT TO ENSURE PAINTED PRODUCT QUALITY.
- CONTRIBUTE TO A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT.
More About You
Requirements:- Tertiary qualifications in materials or chemical engineering.
- Experience working in a manufacturing industry – operational, process, or technical environment.
- Commitment to safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
- Developed communication and influencing skills to build constructive relationships.
- Ability to coordinate technical projects and work seamlessly with other departments.
