About the Role

This Casual Pastry Assistant position offers the chance to work with our skilled team in a dynamic and creative environment. As a key member of our production team, you will contribute to the preparation and production of high-quality pastries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pastry Production Support: Assist the pastry team in the preparation and production of various pastries, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Ingredient Preparation: Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production requirements, maintaining attention to detail at all times.
  • Maintaining Cleanliness: Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen, including equipment, workstations, and storage areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Help monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and notify management of ingredient needs as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with pastry chefs and other team members to execute orders efficiently and meet production deadlines.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a pastry or bakery setting is preferred but not required.
  • Pastry Knowledge: Basic knowledge of pastry techniques, equipment, and ingredients is essential.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to follow recipes accurately and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on quality.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organisational and time management skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Physical Demands: Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
