Optical Dispenser Job Opportunity

We are seeking a full-time Optical Dispenser to join our optometry practice in Jannali. As an Optical Dispenser, you will play a key role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the very best patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly and efficient reception service and general practice administration duties.
  • Assist patients in selecting optical frames taking into account lifestyle and physical needs.
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the practice, including overall presentation and cleanliness.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of patient jobs, lens and contact lens orders, consignment stock, and ordering of frames and sundry items.

Requirements:

  • Accredited Dispensing Qualification (not required but preferred).
  • Experience in optical dispensing.
  • Excellent customer service, organisation and communication skills with a professional phone manner.
  • Sales ability and learning ability to accurately dispense appropriate optical devices to meet the patient's needs.
  • Maintains professional expertise through continual awareness of technological developments in lenses.
  • Willingness to work in a team with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Customer service and/or retail skills are essential and optical experience is a bonus.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen with fluent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be available to work on Saturdays and have the flexibility to work extra hours if required.
