Job Title: Financial Operations Coordinator

About the Role

This position involves administering and managing financial operations to ensure timely payments from debtors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating accurate invoices, monitoring accounts receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

The Financial Operations Coordinator will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, analyzing data, and preparing financial reports. They will also be responsible for resolving discrepancies and anomalies in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. They will be proficient in using MS Office applications and ERP systems, and have prior experience in financial operations or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate accurate invoices and credit notes for services provided, aligning with government subsidies and contractual agreements.
  • Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts with empathy and professionalism.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable and address any discrepancies or anomalies promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation by identifying and rectifying duplicate or anomalous entries.
  • Leverage ERP and automation tools to enhance invoicing workflows and efficiency.
  • Work closely with finance teams on tasks such as processing refunds, approving invoices, and preparing financial reports.
About You

We are seeking an experienced Financial Operations professional who brings meticulous accuracy and attention to detail. The successful candidate will handle sensitive financial matters with empathy and professionalism, while also guiding and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a large and complex service delivery organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and understanding of relevant practices and principals of debtor management.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to prioritize responsibilities and multitask.
  • Minimum of intermediate competency in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Prior experience with reconciliation.
