Data Governance Leader

At Firesoft People, we're seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in driving our data governance strategy forward.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and establish data governance standards across the enterprise
  • Build a culture of data awareness and responsibility among stakeholders
  • Coordinate information and data exchange between departments
  • Facilitate master data management workshops and maintain the Enterprise Business Data Model (EBDM)
  • Support the Information, Technology, and Security Risk Committee (ITSRC) objectives
  • Coordinate the proposal and ratification of authority and data ownership
  • Maintain enterprise compliance with Australian Prudential Regulation CPG235 Managing Data Risk (September 2013)
  • Build a Data Analyst Community to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional support on analytics initiatives
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a governance role, with 2 years in financial services
  • Understanding of data governance and quality program implementation challenges and benefits
  • Experience working with APRA banking or financial standards
  • Knowledge of data repository systems (DWH and operational systems)
  • Proven management/supervisory experience leading a team of 3-5 people
