Intensive Care Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an Intensive Care Specialist to provide 24/7 onsite medical care and critical assessment in a 17-bed ICU environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality medical care and coordination for ICU patients, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and well-being.
  • Assist in the resuscitation and transport of critically ill patients, utilizing advanced life support skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and audits, driving excellence in healthcare delivery.
  • Maintain clinical expertise through ongoing education and collaboration with colleagues, staying up-to-date with best practices and research.
  • Uphold the values of compassion, respect, and teamwork in patient care and team interactions.
Key Requirements:
  • Full registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulations.
  • Current membership with a Medical Defence Organisation, providing protection and support in case of unforeseen events.
  • Proven experience in ICUs or similar environments, with a strong foundation in clinical governance, risk management, and best practice standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, facilitating effective collaboration and patient-centric care.
  • Strong adaptability, flexibility, and a patient-oriented mindset, thriving in dynamic and fast-paced clinical environments.
