ICU Registrar Opportunity

We are seeking highly skilled medical professionals to provide onsite 24/7 medical care, assessment and coordination of patients within the ICU/HDU.

You will work between two sites as required and agreed. This opportunity further your career in these advanced and well-equipped ICUs and be part of a highly effective team supported by Senior Intensivists and experienced ICU nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the provision of critical care to patients within Intensive Care Units, including providing clinical advice and support to practitioners for patients
  • Efficient management of admissions and discharges to Intensive Care in coordination with the in-charge nurse when on duty
  • Participation in the Intensive Care roster including out-of-hour's roster commitments
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated competence and experience in providing high quality, compassionate medical care within an Intensive Care Unit
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead the multidisciplinary team whilst demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in periods of high activity.
  • Commitment to teaching and supervision of students, trainees and staff including medical, nursing and allied health.
  • Appropriate qualifications and AHPRA registration, or eligible for full AHPRA registration within 12 months
  • PGY3 or above, with a minimum of 6 months' experience within ICU and 12 months of anaesthetics training prior to joining our team.
