Medical Specialist in Critical Care

We are seeking a Senior Medical Officer to provide onsite medical care, assessment and coordination of patients within the ICU/HDU.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Support the provision of critical care to patients within Intensive Care Units, including providing clinical advice and support to practitioners for patients
- Efficient management of admissions and discharges to Intensive Care in coordination with the in-charge nurse when on duty
- Participation in the Intensive Care roster including out-of-hour's roster commitments
- Demonstrated competence and experience in providing high quality, compassionate medical care within an Intensive Care Unit environment
- Ability to lead the multidisciplinary team while demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in periods of high activity
- Commitment to teaching and supervision of students, trainees and staff including medical, nursing and allied health professionals
- Appropriate qualifications and AHPRA registration, or eligible for full AHPRA registration within 12 months
- PGY3 or above, with a minimum of 6 months' experience within ICU and 12 months of anaesthetics training prior to joining our team
- A competitive annual salary package available - FT salary of $242,000 per annum (incl. superannuation)
