About the Role

The City of Parramatta is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to lead our Parks Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of tradespeople to deliver trades-based work on our fixed assets, including buildings, playgrounds, shelters, and sporting courts.
  • Project Management: Plan, organize, and coordinate projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Staff Management: Manage and develop staff, including performance management, training, and development.
  • Asset Maintenance: Work with the team to complete playground repairs, general building maintenance, welding, fencing repairs, painting, pressure washing, and general duties to ensure the long-term management, condition, and usability of the assets.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum certificate III qualification in carpentry or relevant trade qualification.
  • License: Hold a current NSW C, Class Driver's license.
  • Certifications: Possession of a White card and Asbestos Awareness certification.
