About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Communication Specialist to join our team in providing comprehensive assessment and treatment services to clients with communication difficulties associated with various disabilities.

As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of speech, language, fluency, and swallowing abilities using standardized tests and other assessment tools. You will then develop individualized treatment plans and goals tailored to each client's needs, ensuring evidence-based and culturally responsive therapy is provided.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations across all ages, backgrounds, and cultures, as well as knowledge of delivering services under the NDIS framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Provide therapy services to individuals, families, and groups in various settings
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, updating treatment plans as necessary
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation
  • Provide education and support to families, carers, and support workers
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Speech Therapy or a related field
  • An active license to practice Speech Therapy in Australia
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of the NDIS framework and its requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
