Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Contact Professional to join our team in a Call Centre environment.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced role.

The ideal candidate will thrive under pressure, enjoy engaging with diverse stakeholders, and have a solid background in contact centre environments.

About the Role:

You'll provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Your day will be a blend of answering queries, problem-solving, and assisting with service delivery across a range of customer needs.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Answering customer queries via phone, email, and in person in a fast-paced call centre environment
  • Engaging with both external and internal customers to deliver excellent service
  • Handling escalated customer issues and diffusing difficult situations with professionalism
  • Accurately entering customer information and updating relevant systems
  • Researching and providing information about Council operations to customers
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
  • Working effectively within a team to achieve common goals and objectives
Requirements:

We're looking for someone with:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role within a call centre environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers, especially in high-pressure situations
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
  • A high level of organisation and time management
  • Self-motivation and a positive, solutions-focused approach
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy environment
Qualifications & Experience:

Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III or IV in Customer Contact, would be highly regarded. Experience in a government-based customer service role would be a bonus.
