Our government client is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their team in a Call Centre environment. Based in Logan, this is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding service in a fast-paced role.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys engaging with diverse stakeholders, and has a solid background in contact centre environments.

About the Role
In this role, you'll provide high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders. Your day will be a blend of answering queries, problem-solving, and assisting with service delivery across a range of customer needs. You'll be required to manage escalated situations, liaise effectively with team members, and use your research skills to resolve complex customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

- Answering customer queries via phone, email, and in person in a fast-paced call centre environment
- Engaging with both external and internal customers to deliver excellent service
- Handling escalated customer issues and diffusing difficult situations with professionalism
- Accurately entering customer information and updating relevant systems
- Researching and providing information about Council operations to customers
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the team
- Working effectively within a team to achieve common goals and objectives

What We're Looking For

- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service role within a call centre environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of customers, especially in high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in using computer software, including databases, spreadsheets, and internal systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong decision-making ability and problem-solving skills
- A high level of organisation and time management
- Self-motivation and a positive, solutions-focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a busy environment

Qualifications & Experience

- Relevant qualification, such as a Certificate III or IV in Customer Contact, would be highly regarded
- Experience in a government-based customer service role would be a bonus
- No planned leave is permitted for the first 12 weeks to ensure adequate training is provided
- A high level of customer service and attention to detail is essential
