Customer Experience Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Experience Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing staff, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences every day.

Located at Cairns Airport, where the tropics meet travel, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment that is both challenging and exciting. Our permanent part-time opportunity requires working a 7 day rotational shift roster, ensuring that you will never get bored or complacent.

Job Description:

The role of a Customer Experience Representative is multifaceted and involves meeting and greeting customers, boarding and disembarking flights, assisting special needs customers, marshalling in aircraft, problem-solving, caring for unaccompanied minors, and providing information to customers.

You will create a welcoming environment so customers start their journey with us in a positive way. This includes being approachable, friendly, and empathetic towards all customers, regardless of their background or needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Ability to work a 7 day rotational shift roster covering a range of hours
  • Recent face-to-face customer service experience within the hospitality, tourism, or other customer-focused industries
  • A passion for customer service with a proactive 'can-do' attitude
  • A proven ability to manage and diffuse difficult situations
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and able to follow through to resolution
  • A strong communicator and listener
  • Ability to work both in a team environment and independently
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing, fast-paced operational environment
  • Compassion and empathy for special needs customers
  • Exceptional grooming and personal presentation
