Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance and corrective repair of assets and building systems. Your day-to-day tasks will include completing detailed handovers from Late Shift Technicians, complying with safety processes, and performing assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Complete detailed handover from Late Shift Technician at Start of Shift.
  • Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and safety protocols related to building operations and work safety.
  • Perform assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
  • Review assigned work orders. Estimate time and materials needed to complete repair. Order necessary materials and supplies to complete tasks.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in repairs and maintenance within commercial buildings, testing and inspection of assets and systems, familiarization with critical spaces and plant rooms, basic HVAC/mechanical knowledge, flexibility, and willingness to take on other tasks where necessary. Relevant trade qualifications or experience are desired but not essential. A valid driver's license is also required.
