Building Automation Systems Technical Sales Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Building Automation Systems Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical sales support to channel partners, distributors, and the sales team—focusing on commercial HVAC controls and energy management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handling technical sales enquiries received from customers on a daily basis.
  • Assisting the sales team with opportunity development, proposal & quotation creation & provision.
  • Supporting external customers and sales teams with product application & selection.
  • Managing technical information resources and access.
  • Developing & maintaining product selection tools.
  • Developing & maintaining technical sales presentations & resources.
  • Developing & distributing technical product bulletins, tech tips & FAQs.
  • Supporting sales teams in customer meetings with technical content / presentations / demonstrations / site visits throughout the sales cycle.
  • Conducting targeted customer technical training sessions.
  • Managing technical sales support process.
  • Liaising with international technical support & product management teams.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical, mechatronic or controls engineering related to HVAC controls.
  • Trained in engineering Building Automation Systems & HVAC Controls.
  • Customer Service / Sales training.
  • At least 3 years' experience in technical sales support of Building Automation Systems / HVAC controls.
Preferred Professional Skills / Knowledge:
  • IoT / software (related to connected automation systems).
  • Technical writing.
  • Technical Training / Presentations.
  • Experience in IoT relating to building automation.
  • Time management skills.
  • Strong Communication: Verbal & written.
  • Advanced computer skills.
  • Customer Service focus.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
