Operations Manager">

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our fleet operations in Perth. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing people, vehicles, and assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide excellent customer service while ensuring timely and diligent delivery of goods.
  • To supervise, monitor, coordinate, load, and unload vehicles, as well as filter outbound freight for line haul dispatch or forwarding.
  • To ensure accurate and timely completion of time-critical data and paperwork.
  • To optimize the effective utilization and operation of our fleet and personnel.
  • To contribute to the organization's profitability through efficient operations.
  • To ensure operational compliance with certifications and accreditations such as Road Transport, Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
  • To control the use of sub-contractors to minimize cost impacts.
  • To provide and maintain safe vehicles and systems of work that do not pose risks to health.
  • To report any customer-related issues and initiate corrective action procedures.
  • To monitor compliance with Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) policies and procedures, as well as Driver Fatigue and Chain of Responsibility Policies.
  • To participate in training, development, and implementation of specific Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) risk management strategies, procedures, and policies.
">Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A vocational qualification in Business, Management, or Leadership.
  • Proven road transport industry management experience.
  • A strong understanding of required and potential legal obligations, including Health and Safety aspects and Corporate Compliance.
  • A comprehensive knowledge of Road Transport, Chain of Responsibility, Fatigue Management, and Dangerous Goods Regulations.
  • Good comprehension of all management systems, QA, OSH, and Environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate office computer skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with workers.
