Job Description

As a dedicated professional, you will take on a hands-on role with a focus on transport and logistics. You will be working in a highly customer-focused team, collaborating with drivers and operatives to drive safety in a positive direction.

This role requires the expertise of a self-aware individual with excellent interpersonal skills, who can coach and mentor others in HSE strategies and activities.

  • Take the lead in coaching and mentoring stakeholders on HSE strategies and activities.
  • Implement the H&S management plan and drive HSE improvements through audits, risk assessments, inspections, and management reviews.
  • Deliver targeted training programs to develop HSE capability of operational teams.
  • Conduct incident investigations to determine the cause of incidents and advise on corrective actions.
  • Provide insight to onsite customers and identify trends and risks through engagement with operations teams.
  • Implement HSE training and communication programs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Cert IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • 5+ years of practical experience in a HSE role with a focus on transport and logistics in WA.
  • Understanding of Heavy vehicle compliance in WA and HSE legislation, industry standards, and management system standards.
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with fellow team members, management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Competent computing skills, advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
