The Role

We are seeking an experienced facilitator to join our team and help deliver our Career Transition Assistance (CTA) program. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about mentoring and supporting others to achieve their career goals.

The CTA program provides practical assistance to mature-age participants, helping them to increase their employability and competitiveness in the local job market. As a facilitator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging training and support services to participants, including face-to-face sessions, one-on-one coaching, and self-directed learning activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Consulting with applicants to assess their eligibility and suitability for the program
  • Delivering group-based training that fosters co-operation, engagement, and contribution among participants
  • Supporting participants to identify their transferable skills and experience and develop a comprehensive career plan
  • Broadly promoting our organisation's services and courses to generate referrals
  • Building relationships with local businesses and industry organisations to promote program benefits
  • Assisting participants to find work within the local labour market and seek national work experience placements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in delivering group-based training for employment
  • High-level skills and demonstrated experience working with mature-aged people
  • A sound understanding of employability skills expected by employers
  • Knowledge of the labour market and vocational training requirements across industries
  • Flexibility to work across locations if required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and engagement abilities
  • Agility to move to online delivery if and as required
