Strategic Project Lead

Drive the successful delivery of architectural projects from inception through to completion, ensuring alignment with client objectives and managing risk.

As a Strategic Project Lead, you will be responsible for leading a small team and working closely with senior leaders to drive the strategic direction of the business. You will also play a key role in building team capability: coaching, mentoring, and empowering others to do their best work.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape our studio culture and nurture our people. You will champion design quality across all phases, from concept to detailed documentation, collaborating with senior leaders and conducting key reviews to meet internal QA standards.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership and Oversight: Lead the delivery of architectural projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and managing risk.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a small team – setting clear goals, mentoring and coaching individuals, driving performance, and role modelling positive studio culture.
  • Design and Documentation Excellence: Champion design quality across all phases, from concept to detailed documentation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, providing clear and consistent communication.

About This Opportunity:

  • Substantial Architectural Design experience, preferably as a qualified or registered architect, in medium to large-scale architectural projects.
  • Experience in Commercial and Education sectors preferred.
  • Strong technical acumen and contract admin experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to proactively manage client relationships and collaborate with consultants.
