Job Title:

Weighbridge Operator

About the Role:

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the weighbridge facility and acting as a point of contact for customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct traffic coming onto site and operate the weighbridge.
  • Verify incoming loads to ensure compliance with site regulations and permitted waste types.
  • Accurately record weights and waste type by vehicle, complete relevant documentation, and collect driver signatures.
  • Process delivery notes and tickets accurately and efficiently.
  • Immediately report any contamination or non-conforming wastes delivered to site to the appropriate manager.
  • Report any anomalies or errors in the weighbridge system to the relevant personnel immediately.
  • Maintain relationships and deal with queries from customers and site visitors.
  • Ensure vehicles delivering to site have the necessary paperwork.
  • Compile reports on materials in and out of the site.
  • Keep the site diary up to date for materials.
  • Assist with general administrative duties and customer service, answering the telephone and directing calls as needed.
  • Comply with all health and safety, HR, and environmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Data entry experience (1 year preferred)
  • Experience working on a weighbridge (1 year preferred)
  • Driver's license (preferred)
  • Australian work authorization (required)
