
Policy Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and interpret information to identify the potential impact of changes and proposed changes in law and policy on ACNC and the charity sector.
- Exercise expert professional judgment when engaging with various partners on complex policy matters, sharing information and influencing decision making.
- Review and update existing policies, working with other areas to develop new policies that meet organisational needs.
- Prepare written responses to requests for submissions on legislation and policy initiatives, responding to legal and policy matters raised by Commonwealth, State and Territory agencies and external bodies.
- Play a strategic role in engagements with external consultative forums.
- Regularly scan the environment to identify issues relevant to ACNC and the charity sector.
- Influence policies and processes effectively to increase efficiencies while ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.
