About the Project:
The Lake Macdonald Dam, situated in the Noosa hinterland, is integral to the South East Queensland drinking water supply managed by Seqwater.
John Holland has secured the contract for the most significant upgrade to the dam since its establishment in 1965, as part of the Seqwater Dam Improvement Project. The upgrade will encompass, but not be limited to:
- Pre-construction Approvals, Procurement, and Site Setup
- Lake Lowering and Aquatic Salvage
- Installation of Upstream Coffer Dam
- Cofferdam, Spillway Demolition, and Working Platform
- Dam Construction
- Reinstatement, Rehabilitation, and Demobilization
As the construction of the Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project commences, John Holland is actively seeking a Site Engineer to contribute significantly to the successful execution of this landmark project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Project Engineering and Supervisory teams to ensure timely achievement of program objectives from both cost and schedule perspectives.
- Play a vital role in managing project Quality Systems concerning inspections, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Engage in planning and programming activities.
- Assist with procurement and supplier management.
- Ensure adherence to technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals, and standards, with a strong emphasis on risk management.
Qualifications for Success:
- Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 12 months of post-qualification experience.
- Familiarity with contemporary construction methodologies for civil infrastructure projects.
- Strong communication skills.
- A commitment to teamwork and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of HSEQ management systems, compliance, and reporting protocols.
