About the ProjectThe Lake Macdonald Dam Improvement Project is a significant undertaking that requires a skilled and experienced team to deliver. As a Senior Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of this project.
The project involves upgrading the dam's infrastructure, including the installation of a new cofferdam, spillway demolition, and construction of new structures. You'll work closely with the project team to ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities- Manage on-site engineering functions, including project engineers and cost/planning engineers.
- Obtain design parameter information for incorporation into detailed designs and construction specifications.
- Monitor quality and quantities of incoming equipment and materials, and arrange corrections or modifications as necessary.
- Coordinate the activities of the engineering team, program workloads, and provide technical and administrative guidance to ensure project aims and objectives are achieved.
- Ensure project engineering completion is on time and within budget, and record completed work, costs incurred, and materials used.
- Accurately forecast costs and revenue, and take corrective action to maximize profit margins.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- 5-10 years' on-site experience postgraduate.
- Strong experience in large-scale Civil Infrastructure projects.
- Leadership ability to provide mentorship to direct reports.
- Demonstrated commercial experience, including planning and reporting on progress, cost, and risk.
- Demonstrated personal commitment to health and safety.
