Job Opportunity: Locomotive Driver

Aurizon seeks a skilled driver for full-time, permanent position.

This role is suitable for an individual with excellent teamwork skills and safety awareness who can meet our operational standards.

  • Operate locomotives on mainlines, shunt, and marshal trains.
  • Certify trains for departure by conducting thorough inspections.
  • Work safely and efficiently according to company procedures.
  • Maintain punctual train schedules.
  • Conduct brake tests on locomotives and ensure their readiness for operation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to support business objectives.

About You:

  • Strong commitment to the Aurizon Safety Strategy "I Know Safe, I Choose Safe".
  • Flexibility to work 24/7 shift rosters.
  • Experience in WA Safeworking System advantageous.
  • Prior experience in freight or heavy haulage locomotive driving essential.
  • Relevant qualifications include a Certificate IV in Rail Operations or equivalent.
  • Unrestricted Class C drivers licence required.
