Commercial Contract Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the In-House legal team, you will work closely with business stakeholders to advise on commercial contracts and negotiate agreements.
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer looking to broaden their experience in contract negotiation and transactional work. You will have the chance to work on a wide range of commercial contracts, including procurement, services, construction, and technology agreements.
In this role, you will:
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts;
- Support the business on complex commercial transactions and projects;
- Advise on contract risk, obligations and structuring across operational functions;
- Assist in managing contract disputes and working with external counsel where required;
- Contribute to compliance initiatives and corporate governance processes; and
- Maintain and improve internal templates, policies, and legal resources.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong background in commercial law, ideally with experience in contract negotiation and transactional work;
- Admitted as a solicitor in Australia;
- 4-7 years PQE;
- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or technology contracts highly regarded;
- In-house experience desirable but not essential;
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to work closely with non-legal stakeholders;
- Proactive, solution-focused and confident managing competing priorities.
