Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are currently seeking a skilled maintenance professional to join our team at the Wilpinjong mine. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing planned and unplanned maintenance of mining equipment, ensuring compliance with site safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment.
The role requires the ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively in a team and maintain a strong focus on safety. A commitment to continuous improvement and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Complete planned and unplanned maintenance of mining equipment as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Comply with all site safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Prioritize tasks and work effectively in a team to meet deadlines
- Maintain a high level of skill and knowledge in welding and other relevant trades
- Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
- A trade qualification in Boilermaking or Engineering (Fabrication)
- Ability to produce and maintain welding standards compliant with AS1554
- Experience in thermic lancing and air arc gouging processes
- Knowledge of conducting safety inspections and completing JSEAs, risk assessments and permits
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
