**Job Title:**

A high-level executive is sought to lead the residential park sector in Victoria.

**About the Role:

The General Manager - Residential Parks will champion the interests of operators, ensuring their voice is heard at government and industry levels. They will work closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape sector policy, influence decision-makers, and strengthen engagement with members and stakeholders across Victoria.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive implementation of a priority policy agenda, including key recommendations to improve sector outcomes.
  • Represent the industry in meetings with government officials, policy makers, and advisory groups.
  • Build strategic alliances with other housing and development organisations to support advocacy efforts.
  • Retail and grow residential park membership by clearly communicating value and industry benefits.
  • Identify and respond to regulatory, planning, and housing reform proposals that impact members.
  • Lead the preparation of government submissions, briefing papers, and position statements.
  • Contribute to media engagement and crisis communications planning when needed.

**Requirements:

  • Background in planning, housing, property, government relations, public policy, or related advocacy field.
  • Excellent communication skills, confident in writing policy papers or presenting to government and industry stakeholders.
  • Skilled at building trust-based relationships and navigating complex political or regulatory environments.
  • Strategic thinker able to manage competing priorities across policy, communications, and member relations.
  • Motivated by purpose, thriving in small, fast-moving teams where ideas and initiative are welcomed.
  • Understanding of peak bodies, member organisations, or not-for-profits (or keen to learn).
