About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Home Care Worker in Port Macquarie. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Domestic Assistance: Clean and maintain the homes of our customers, ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Meal Preparation and Shopping: Help our customers with meal preparation and grocery shopping, promoting healthy eating habits.
  • Social Support: Provide emotional support and companionship to our customers, helping to combat loneliness and isolation.
  • Transportation: Safely transport our customers to appointments and social events, promoting independence and mobility.
  • Complex Care: Provide specialized care to customers with high care needs, such as dementia, requiring a high level of support and understanding.

Requirements
  • Current P1 Class or Above Australian Drivers License: You must hold a valid driver's license and have access to a registered vehicle.
  • Compassion and Empathy: You must be able to provide emotional support and understanding to our customers, often in challenging situations.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: You must be able to think critically and find solutions to everyday problems, working independently and seeking support when needed.
  • Availability: You must be available to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work required.
