We are seeking a highly skilled 2nd Officer to join our team at OSM Maritime Group. As a 2nd Officer, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of our AHTS vessel in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Officer in the safe operation of the vessel, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and safety procedures.
  • Monitor and control the vessel's dynamic positioning system, ensuring precise positioning and stability.
  • Collaborate with the crew to maintain a safe and efficient working environment, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve vessel performance, safety, and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior officers, promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Australian Work Rights and a valid Australian Visa.
  • Valid STCW II/1 Officer of the Watch (OOW) Certificate of Competency.
  • Full Dynamic Positioning Operator (DPO) License is highly regarded.
  • Previous experience as a 2nd Officer on AHTS/PSV vessels.
  • Familiarity with DP systems and their operation.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and under pressure.
