About the Role

This Marine Officer (UTES 2) position is a multi-skilled role that provides offshore operator and marine engineer support services; in order to achieve safe, reliable and efficient production on the FPSO.

The role is primarily responsible for the safe loading, storage, handling and discharge of crude oil cargoes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cargo Operations: Ensure the safe and efficient loading, storage, handling and discharge of crude oil cargoes.
  • Marine Operations Support: Provide support for tanker birthing, heading control for logistics and lifting operations, and navigational watches and seagoing shipboard operations.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain shipboard equipment required under statutory requirements, including all navigational, GMDSS, firefighting, lifesaving and safety equipment.
  • Integration with Upstream and Production Operations: Integrate into the upstream and production operations of crude oil.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: 2nd Mate Marine qualification (or higher), Tanker endorsement is desirable.
  • Experience: Experience on Oil / Gas Tankers, or FPSO experience.
  • Skills: Skilled in Emergency at Sea (EMAS trained), Skilled in Maintenance and Integrity Management, ECDIS, GMDSS, Ship Security Officer, AMSA medical, MSIC, and AMSA Master (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency with Oil tanker endorsement.
