Job Title: Head Chef

About the Role:
  • This is an opportunity to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced kitchen environment. We require at least two years experience in high volume kitchens along with a Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare meals and food items, ensuring safe and hygienic storage, handling, and preparation of food and drinks.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order food supplies in consultation with senior staff, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
  • Cooking Techniques and Portion Control: Ensure cooking methods, portions, and recipes are followed, maintaining consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and well-presented kitchen compliant with food safety standards, adhering to health and hygiene regulations.
  • Team Leadership and Communication: Ability to work independently and autonomously, while also leading a team to create a safe and friendly work environment.
Requirements:
  • At least two years of relevant work experience
  • Certificate III or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery
