Job Description:

As a Systems Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the maintenance and enhancement of our university's people systems and technologies. This includes providing systems advice, engaging with system users to understand their needs, and working with colleagues, leaders, and vendors to deliver improvements and solutions that support best practice processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring systems and technologies are configured appropriately to deliver accurate and timely functions for the University.
  • Providing technical support for people systems and technologies, prioritizing issues for first point resolution, escalating complex queries where necessary, and ensuring interactions are effectively tracked and documented.
  • Analyzing current processes and practices and recommending solutions that can be configured or developed through systems and technologies to result in an enhanced user experience and more efficient delivery of services.
  • Assisting in technical development and working with others to develop technical solutions across relevant systems.
  • Contributing to the coordination and facilitation of training programs for system users.
  • Undertaking regular business system access audits and data integrity audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinating the administration of business applications and solutions and supporting key system interfaces.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or
  • Extensive experience and specialist knowledge or broad knowledge in technical or administrative fields; or
  • Equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Experience in the configuration and development of people systems or technologies such as PeopleSoft and PageUp to deliver on functional and technical specifications.
  • Experience in working with complex people systems.
