The staff at our mental health facility is the greatest asset, comprising highly qualified professionals who work together to uphold excellence in helping patients resolve behavioral health issues.
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for unit activities, supervising Milieu Coordinators and Mental Health Technicians, administering medications, and providing educational groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Completes comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission.
- Identifies patient needs, problems, capabilities, and limitations, reflecting knowledge of biophysical and psychosocial sciences.
- Acts as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team in planning care.
- Utilizes psychotherapeutic interventions to assist patients in regaining or improving their coping abilities.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Prefer one year experience as a Registered Nurse, with six months in psychiatric nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida and CPR Certification required.
- Demonstrate leadership, communication, teaching, and management skills.
