**Job Title:** Mental Health Nurse - Per DiemThe mental health facility prioritizes providing high-quality patient care, with a team of highly qualified professionals working together to deliver excellence in helping patients resolve behavioral health issues.As a Registered Nurse (R.N.), you will be responsible for leading unit activities, supervising Milieu Coordinators and Mental Health Technicians, administering prescribed medications, and providing educational groups.You will also complete comprehensive nursing assessments, interact therapeutically with residents, and plan continuity of patient care with other members of the healthcare team.Key responsibilities include utilizing psychotherapeutic interventions to assist patients in regaining or improving their previous coping abilities and preventing further disability.Additionally, you will understand basics of Common Psychiatric Diagnoses, recognize behaviors associated with them, and evaluate age-specific behaviors, motor skills, and psychological norms.Required qualifications include leadership, communication, teaching, and management skills.The ideal candidate must be able to work in a physically and mentally demanding environment, requiring extensive walking, standing, sitting, and climbing stairs.Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.
